Kawai is pretty demanding when it comes to cleanliness and organization. He leaves no room for others to fall below his expectations.

“Hey, leave them alone ya prat.”

Ko is protective of his friends and doesn’t tolerate them, or anyone else for that matter, being picked on. He is the kind of guy who condones all unnecessary hostility, making a point to foresee that such behavior does not go without punishment. No matter the size, Kawai will call out any offender to knock it off, or pay the price.

“Have ya lost the plot?? We should practice more, it’s only been lik' four hours.” 

Persistent and passionate about his interests, Kawai strives for perfection. Whether it be baseball or video games, Ko desires to feel the efforts of a hard days work and receives great satisfaction from improving his skills. He enjoys exercising as it helps him release his pent up aggression and take his mind off the things.

The catcher may be moody and quick to anger most of the time, but he really does care about his friends. Even though he’ll hardly ever show it. Maybe it was all the years of bullying that forced the boy to put up a iron shell, fearing to show a weakness by openly caring for others. Regardless, kind gestures are rare. Kawai may show his affections by washing his team’s uniforms, burning a personalized cd for a friend, or picking flowers from his mother’s garden for a crush.

“I'm gonna kick yo ass, on yo grass!”

Competitive and aggressive towards pretty much any game, Ko loves to play hard and achieve a satisfying win. Blow outs are no fun, achieving victory by the skin of his teeth is what Kawai lives for.

Bio:     

    Kawai was born and raised for the most part in England, belonging to a small group of wealthy pheasants there. After his father walked out on them, the eight year old Kawai and his mother went through some tough economic times. Having to find a job after only ever being a housewife was a difficult task and left their massive estate needing to be cared for by someone else other than his mom. Angry with the man for putting his mother through such grief, the young pheasant decided he was more than happy to keep up with the domestic house duties for her, finding he quite liked cleaning to meet his standards. They had always been close, but grew inseparable after the event.

    A year or two passed and his mother was raising him well, always giving him any extra time she happened to come by. However, at school the young boy was often teased for father’s absence and close relationship with his mom. Kawai started getting into fights with other kids in his private school, always warning them to quit before taking a swing. Things escalated as time passed, requiring the aggressive bird to change schools frequently during his childhood. Developing a reputation of a delinquent of sorts, his grades began to slip as he became progressively more involved with small gangs around town, stealing and fighting whenever given the opportunity to. He started smoking and drinking at the young age of twelve, but always hiding his vices and bruises from his busy mother. With respect, he wouldn’t ever let her see that side of him.

    Finally after seeing one of his fellow gang members get stabbed to death in a brawl, Kawai decided he wanted out of the hole he dug himself. The pheasant remembered his mother saying how much she loved baseball, guiltily joining the club in hopes of giving her something to be proud of for a change. He found though that he actually quite liked the sport, dedicating all his newfound free time to improving his skills. Though his arm was weak, the boy could sprint fast and jump high, naturally gravitating towards playing catcher.

    Unfortunately his bliss didn’t last long. His old gang came all the way out to his house looking for him, unwilling to let him away so easily . Kawai warned them to leave, but quickly started a raging fight when they threatened his mother. The cops were called and a bloody Ko was taken into prison overnight, his mom in tears. When he got out the next morning, he couldn’t even look his mother in the eye. Oh how he’d brought her so much shame, and even more grief than she already had to deal with.  She smiled softly at him though and embraced him, telling her son that she could never feel that way about him, they would move to a new town to get finally get away from all their demons. And so, Kawai ended up at St. Pigeonations, where he joined the baseball club once more.

• Loves his mom. Brings the lunches she makes for him everyday. Will often buy her flowers on his way home from practice.
